Xiaomi 15S Pro Unleashed: Flagship Power Meets Homegrown Xring O1 Chipset
The company’s latest flagship smartphone, the Xiaomi 15S Pro, marks a turning point in its drive for technological freedom. At the heart of the device is the Xring O1, Xiaomi’s first proprietary flagship chipset, based on TSMC’s latest 3nm N3E technology. This custom SoC features a powerful 10-core CPU with two 3.9GHz Cortex-X925 Prime cores, a 16-core ARM Immortalis-G925 GPU, and a 6-core NPU with 44 TOPS.The Xring O1 delivers exceptional performance, scoring over 3 million points on AnTuTu and outperforming the Snapdragon 8 Elite and Apple’s A18 Pro in Geekbench 6 multi-core tests.
Beyond the chipset, the Xiaomi 15S Pro boasts a 6.73-inch LTPO AMOLED display with a QHD+ resolution and a smooth 120Hz refresh rate. Its versatile camera system includes three 50MP sensors: a wide, an ultrawide, and a 5x periscope telephoto lens. Powering the device is a large 6,100mAh silicon-carbon battery with 90W wired charging. It supports LPDDR5T RAM, UFS 4.1 storage, USB 3.2 Gen2, and Wi-Fi 7, and runs on Xiaomi’s new HyperOS 2 based on Android 15. Available in Black and Blue, the 15S Pro is priced at TZS 1,907,500 for the 16GB RAM + 512GB storage variant, and TZS 2,125,000 for the 1TB version. While open sales have begun in China, Xiaomi has yet to announce international availability.
